The total restoration process...
Surface prep. The whole surface undergoes antifungicide power washing, which removes any algae growth and loose paint and flaking material.
Further needlegun and surface scabbling may be required to fully remove loose material. Any blown areas of render are remove via chiseling action. The whole surface is then treated with a long lasting biocide to prevent any further growth returning. This is an essential step to ensure the success of the application.

Repairs, repointing and rendering. Any cracks found will be chiselled out back to soundly adhered area. They are then filled and matched to existing surface with flexible polymer cement filler / epoxy resin compound. This flexes with movement and will prevent cracks returning. Blown rendered areas are chiselled off to sound substrate. At this stage, if any stone/brickwork requires wall ties, then we will instate the appropriate system. Brick and stone work re-pointed and render is then re-instated with application of either traditional NHL lime, sand and cement or polymer render to match existing finish. Any corroded metal “beads” are replaced with new galvanised. Any “raw” pebbledash or brick areas are treated with “bagging” slurry.
Masking / sheeting
Floor areas covered with ground sheets and plant life covered with plastic sheeting. All windows, doors, fascias, bargeboards, soffits, eave ends, gutters and downpipes are then masked using tough weather proof paper sheet and masking tape. The masking ensures areas not to be treated are kept free of any drips spray etc. and provides all of these with a clean edge to apply the coating. Finally, close neighbouring houses may need further protection including cars etc.

Primer coat . Primer coating is applied with roller, brush or airless spray. This stabilises all unpainted and painted surfaces and is weatherproof and ready for top coating application within 4 hours. It also acts as an alkali barrier and has extra hiding powers to benefit the covering power of the topcoat.
Topcoating. Topcoat is applied with roller, brush, airless spray or heavy material equipment. This topcoating is a single coat or 2 coat applications (depending on type of coating required) that ensures a flawless finish that does not grin, shine or look patchy. Once completed, we inspect the whole of the wall area and check for “snags”.
De-masking, tidy and satisfaction notes All areas are de-masked to reveal clean strait edges around windows doors etc. Floor area cleared and plant life uncovered. Site left as first found.
